This role involves providing and managing nursing care activities for patients in a cardiac telemetry unit, collaborating with healthcare providers, and fulfilling leadership and mentorship responsibilities within the Detroit Medical Center.
Responsibilities
- Manage and provide patient care activities for a group of patients and their families
- Apply independent judgment in patient care
- Communicate and collaborate with all team members including ancillary and support services
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with physicians and other health care providers
- Delegate, assess, provide and evaluate patient care
- Provide and delegate patient care activities to team members
- Monitor patient progress
- Prepare patient for discharge
- Report directly to senior unit management
- Participate in shared decision-making activities
Requirements
- Graduation from a school of nursing
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Michigan
- American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification
Qualifications
- Graduation from a school of nursing; BSN preferred
