Registered Nurse (RN) - Inpatient Child/Adolescent Unit

About This Role

This Registered Nurse (RN) position involves providing direct client care in a psychiatric/chemical dependency setting, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and leading in program development and treatment plan implementation.

Responsibilities

• Utilize psychiatric/chemical dependency nursing skills as a direct client care provider
• Deliver direct client care to individuals, groups, and in the milieu
• Act as a role model for other staff members
• Teach other staff members
• Participate in program development
• Guide group decision making processes
• Develop and implement client treatment plans
• Adhere to Hospital policies, procedures, accreditation standards, and state/federal regulations

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current Connecticut RN License
• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
• Effective leadership and delegation skills
• Computer and keyboarding skills
• Must have and maintain telephone number for scheduling

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, Bachelor’s degree preferred
