This Registered Nurse role provides direct client care within the Journey House program, a residential facility for adolescent girls needing behavioral health services. The RN acts as a role model and leader in guiding staff, developing treatment plans, and improving client care while adhering to hospital policies and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct client care to clients individually, in groups, and in the milieu
- Act as a role model for other staff members
- Lead in teaching other staff members
- Participate in program development
- Guide group decision making processes
- Develop and implement treatment plans
- Improve the quality of care
- Adhere to Hospital policies and procedures
- Comply with applicable accreditation standards and state and federal regulations
Requirements
- Current Connecticut RN License
- Excellent communication skills
- Critical thinking skills
- Effective leadership skills
- Delegation skills
- Computer and keyboarding skills
- Must have and maintain telephone number for scheduling
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, Bachelor's degree preferred
