About This Role

This role is for a Float Registered Nurse (RN) who will provide patient care across multiple units in a rural health hospital. You will supervise and coordinate care, applying nursing theory and practice to ensure efficient and effective patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate patient care, ensuring efficiency and adherence to hospital policies and procedures
  • Apply theory and practice using the Nursing Process of Assessment, Diagnosis, Planning, Implementation, and Evaluation
  • Work with all age groups including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
  • Utilize Paragon applications (Electronic Medical Record) and other computer systems for patient care
  • Drive process improvements and contribute to meaningful change across the organization

Requirements

  • Current VA or compact RN license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire
  • ACLS, PALS, and Advanced Stroke Course required within 6 months of hire
  • At least two years of clinical experience in critical care, ED, PACU, or similar
  • Ability to respond within 60 minutes if placed on call

Qualifications

  • At least two years of clinical experience in critical care, ED, PACU, or similar setting.

Nice to Have

  • Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC)
