About This Role

Supervise and coordinate patient care within a 12-bed adult, acute behavioral health unit, ensuring efficient and policy-compliant service delivery. This role involves medication management, patient/family education, and collaborative communication within the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate care to ensure patient needs are met efficiently and in accordance with hospital policies and procedures
  • Use medication delivery systems and coordinate with the healthcare team for safe medication delivery
  • Apply the nursing process to meet patient/family learning needs
  • Complete and attend all required in-services and unit staff meetings
  • Communicate consistently with co-workers, medical staff, ancillary departments, and customers to promote a collaborative and cooperative environment

Requirements

  • Current VA RN license or RN Compact State License required
  • BLS required before completion of orientation period

Qualifications

  • One year's experience in a Medical/Surgical or Behavioral Health unit preferred.

Nice to Have

  • One year's experience in a Medical/Surgical or Behavioral Health unit
  • ACLS
  • PALS
  • Advanced Stroke Course
