Registered Nurse Float Pool Nights

About This Role

This Registered Nurse (RN) position at Watertown Regional Medical Center is for a Float Pool role, working night shifts. The role involves directing and coordinating nursing care across various departments based on established clinical standards.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate all nursing care based on established clinical nursing practice standards
• Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care and desired outcomes
• Obtain and maintain competencies in med/surg, med/tel, ICU, ED, and postpartum/newborn care
• Accept assignments to any area where competencies are documented and assist with nursing functions as needed
• Utilize the nursing process for patient care, including administering treatments and medications, interpreting diagnostic tests, formulating care plans, collaborating with healthcare providers, and providing patient education
• Collect patient health data, prioritizing based on immediate condition or needs
• Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses/patient problems
• Develop and implement a plan of care with prescribed interventions to attain expected outcomes
• Evaluate patient's progress toward attainment of outcomes, documenting responses and revising plans as needed
• Participate in quality-of-care activities, including identification of important care aspects, data collection, analysis, and formulation of recommendations

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
• Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN)
• Proficient with computer systems
• Strong oral and written communication skills

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
• Preferred 3-5 years hospital experience
