Registered Nurse (RN)-Cardiology Stepdown Unit- Days

About This Role

This role is for a Registered Nurse to provide patient care within a Cardiology Stepdown Unit, utilizing the Nursing Process. The RN will delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members, ensuring quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Effectively use the Nursing Process in the delivery of patient care
• Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies appropriate for diverse patient and family needs
• Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources (human and fiscal) properly
• Serve as a leader and partner on the Interdisciplinary Team
• Utilize data, information, and knowledge to evaluate and promote change for optimal outcomes
• Embrace concepts and behaviors that enhance customer satisfaction and employee morale
• Maintain involvement in activities aimed toward the achievement of unit and department’s strategic goals
• Demonstrate professional responsibility and accountability for own practice

Requirements

• Computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information
• Proficiency with Windows-style applications and various software packages
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to present information clearly and professionally
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent time management skills

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse Diploma
• No prior work experience is required for this role.

Nice to Have

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• Certification in Clinical Specialty Area
