This role is for a Registered Nurse to provide patient care within a Cardiology Stepdown Unit, utilizing the Nursing Process. The RN will delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members, ensuring quality patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Effectively use the Nursing Process in the delivery of patient care
- Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies appropriate for diverse patient and family needs
- Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources (human and fiscal) properly
- Serve as a leader and partner on the Interdisciplinary Team
- Utilize data, information, and knowledge to evaluate and promote change for optimal outcomes
- Embrace concepts and behaviors that enhance customer satisfaction and employee morale
- Maintain involvement in activities aimed toward the achievement of unit and department’s strategic goals
- Demonstrate professional responsibility and accountability for own practice
Requirements
- Computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information
- Proficiency with Windows-style applications and various software packages
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to present information clearly and professionally
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent time management skills
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse Diploma
- No prior work experience is required for this role.
Nice to Have
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Certification in Clinical Specialty Area
