As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Pain Management Clinic at Frye Regional Medical Center, you will perform patient assessments, identify needs, initiate appropriate nursing interventions, and provide patient care. This role contributes to making communities healthier by focusing on the well-being of patients and supporting the clinic team.
Responsibilities
- Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs
- Identify and initiate appropriate nursing interventions
- Provide care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
- Perform timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
- Complete and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
- Perform timely and accurate QI assessments
- Support clinic team to follow performance expectations and reach key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Assist physician and APCs with patient treatments
- Offer support to patients and monitor them throughout clinical/procedure visits
- Complete dressing changes, suture and staple removal, pump refills, and pump reprogramming
Requirements
- Current state RN license
- Critical thinking skills
- Decisive judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree preferred but not required
- Two years' experience as a clinical nurse in a hospital environment, with preferred experience in critical care, surgery, or emergency department
