Deliver safe patient care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Provide direct patient care, guide patient/family teaching, and direct other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care.
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation
- Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice
- Direct and guide patient/family teaching in the ICU
- Direct and guide activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the ICU
- Communicate with the physician about changes in the patient's clinical condition including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and abnormal results and symptomatology
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and/or response to treatment
- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality
Requirements
- Current and valid state RN License
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
- Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire
- Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current
- Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.

- Completion of Critical Care Course
- Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
