About This Role

This role involves performing comprehensive patient assessments, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care within a Clinical Decision Unit. The nurse will administer medications, monitor patient conditions, and coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop nursing diagnoses, plan and implement individualized care, and evaluate outcomes
  • Deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centered care using evidence-based practice
  • Administer medications, treatments, and therapies per clinical protocols
  • Monitor patient condition and respond promptly to changes or emergencies
  • Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams and participate in rounds and case reviews
  • Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
  • Provide patient and family education tailored to individual needs and goals of care
  • Participate in performance improvement, quality, and patient safety initiatives
  • Support shared governance, professional nursing standards, and ethical practice
  • Complete required competencies, education, and ongoing professional development
  • Serve as a preceptor or mentor as needed
  • Support efficient use of human and material resources
  • Comply with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and standards of practice

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Single-State of Georgia or Compact)
  • BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
  • Minimum 1 years of direct patient care RN experience
  • Ability to work night shift
  • Ability to deliver individualized care in a fast-paced acute care environment
  • Commitment to Hospital care standards, safety policies, and code of conduct
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, acute care environment
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Proficiency with EMR documentation and healthcare technology
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to respond to emergencies in a calm, decisive, and professional manner
  • Commitment to evidence-based nursing practice
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required, Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of direct patient care RN experience
