Administrative Assistant (Loan Specialist)

About This Role

Assist members by preparing loan applications, gathering documentation, and disbursing funds in a hybrid contract role. Provide administrative support to Loan Officers and identify cross-selling opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Interview members in person or by telephone to assist them in preparing loan applications
• Obtain personal and financial information
• Answer questions and advise members of loan options, repayment schedules, interest rates, collateral requirements, and other loan details
• Gather and organize required supporting documents for loan closings
• Verify and examine documents for accuracy and completeness
• Refer the loan to Loan Officers for review and approval
• Contact members concerning acceptance or rejection of loan applications and set up appointments for loan closings
• Disburse loan funds and file loan documents with appropriate agencies
• Identify opportunities to cross-sell new or additional services or products to members
• Enter and maintain accurate loan information on computer operating system and prepare required reports for management

Requirements

• Loan Processing skills
• Proficient skills operating computerized and standard office equipment
• Proficient in use of word processing, spreadsheet and graphics software
• Understanding of company policies and procedures
• Understanding of SAP
• Ability to collect, compile and analyze information and data

Qualifications

• Some clerical/administrative experience
