Registered Nurse - Acute Neuro Unit

About This Role

This Registered Nurse position leads patient care using the nursing process, delegates tasks to team members, and ensures quality patient outcomes within an acute neuro unit.

Responsibilities

• Effectively use the nursing process in the delivery of patient care
• Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies for diverse patient and family needs
• Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources properly
• Serve as a leader and partner on the interdisciplinary team
• Use data, information, and knowledge to evaluate and promote change for optimal outcomes
• Embrace concepts and behaviors that enhance customer satisfaction and employee morale
• Adapt behavior to the specific patient population, respecting privacy and communication style

Requirements

• Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Ability to be self-directed and demonstrate good judgment

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• None required
