The Regional Sales Manager (Dealer) is responsible for achieving sales objectives and improving dealer performance within an assigned territory. This role involves building strong relationships with channel partners and collaborating across the organization to provide superior customer support and business performance.
Responsibilities
- Achieve quarterly and annual sales objectives for dealer business in the assigned territory, including territory sales, new dealer, parts, and new product business goals.
- Leverage data to identify market opportunities and drive growth in market share, revenue, and brand awareness.
- Lead business planning efforts with distributors, developing annual sales and marketing plans by product line.
- Increase key dealer mindshare, share of store, and growth through process improvement, issue resolution, and execution.
- Drive dealer profitability improvement by coaching and influencing Territory Managers and dealers within the region.
- Drive growth through channel and new market development to ensure industry-leading dealer coverage and customer experience.
- Represent Toro at local market dealer open houses, trade shows, and training events.
- Ensure flawless execution of business programs and plans at the dealer level.
- Travel with Territory Managers to achieve objectives defined by the Regional Business Manager, Sales Director, and business plan.
- Partner with distributor sales managers to continuously develop field sales team effectiveness and coverage.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of successful durable goods sales experience.
- Substantive business understanding of dealerships and/or distributorships.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent mentoring, coaching, negotiating and influential leadership skills.
- Ability to measure and analyze key performance indicators (ROI and KPIs).
- Familiarity with CRM software.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field; equivalent industry and sales experience considered.
- 5+ years of successful durable goods sales experience. Outdoor power equipment, power sports or related dealer sales experience preferred.
