About This Role

Operate specialized equipment to remove ice and snow from aircraft critical surfaces, ensuring safe take-offs at Anchorage Airport. This seasonal, full-time role involves independent work, equipment maintenance, and adherence to strict deicing regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Operate equipment for the removal of winter contaminants, such as Ice and Snow, from aircraft critical surfaces
  • Maintain serviceability of deicing equipment, including supporting GSE and Quality departments
  • Perform Preseason, Mid-season, and End of Season deicing truck inspections, as well as deicing fluid tests
  • Conduct daily equipment inspections for the deicer fleet during the winter season
  • Accurately complete delivery logs and work orders for tracking and billing deicing services
  • Help perform training on deicing equipment for new or recurrent OJT training periods (if authorized)
  • Operate and ensure proper management of the deicing fluid fill and storage station
  • Perform other duties within Ramp Operations during downtimes, for which qualified
  • Work independently with little supervision during shifts

Requirements

  • Must Possess a valid Driver's License
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be willing to work in inclement weather
  • Must be comfortable with heights up to 40'
  • Good communication skills
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or show proof of right to work in the U.S.
  • High School graduate or GED
  • Able to fluently read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Ability to work under stressful situations and tight time constraints in a fast-paced environment
  • Successfully complete a background investigation, including FBI fingerprints, criminal history, and pre-employment drug test
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

Qualifications

  • High School graduate or GED
