Radiology Technologist - Diagnostic

About This Role

Perform a variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures as a Radiology Technologist, supporting patient flow and upholding CHRISTUS Health's mission and values.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of routine to advanced imaging procedures
• Provide support for other imaging technologists as needed
• Facilitate smooth and efficient patient flow
• Troubleshoot basic maintenance issues and report equipment malfunctions
• Participate in QA procedures and resolve issues related to image processing and archiving systems
• Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards of care
• Appropriately adapt patient assessment, treatment, and care methods to accommodate unique patient needs
• Ensure completed exams are scanned and stored correctly in PACS and follow downtime procedures
• Maintain consistency with Administrative and Departmental policies regarding behavior, dress, attitude, attendance, confidentiality, professionalism, and reliability
• Promote staff growth, development, and employee engagement

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or equivalent
• Radiography (R) by ARRT certification
• State Licensure for Radiology Technology (Texas, Louisiana, or New Mexico specific as applicable)
• BLS certification
• Basic computer experience

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or other accepted and approved equivalent
• 1 year of experience in a hospital preferred; basic computer experience required
