This role is for a Radiology Student Technologist to assist with diagnostic imaging under the direction of a Registered Radiologic Technologist at St. Rita's Medical Center. The position ensures the safe and effective use of ionizing radiation and contributes to patient care.
Responsibilities
- Work under the direction of a Registered Radiologic Technologist.
- Apply skills in diagnostic imaging through the safe and effective use of ionizing radiation.
- Assist with the review of patient information related to radiographic exams.
- Provide lifting assistance and escort patients to and from Radiology.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited radiology program
- Successfully completed one year of school with a GPA of 2.5 or higher
- BLS Basic Life Support – American Heart Association (must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care)
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an accredited radiology program and has successfully completed one year of school with a GPA of 2.5 or higher
Nice to Have
- GXMO (General X-Ray Machine Operator) state limited license
- EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) training
- Picture archiving communication system (PACS) training
