Radiologist Administrative Assistant

About This Role

Join a growing outpatient radiology practice as a Radiologist Assistant, supporting the Radiologist team in daily image reading and patient care while directly impacting the patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily batch image reading support tasks for all modalities as required and as directed by the radiologist
• Make calls on Urgent Findings Worklist at direction of radiologist
• Perform related duties and tasks to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of imaging to complete interpretation
• Communicate with all necessary contacts to obtain outstanding reports and imaging
• Ensure that the Radiologist is prepared with prior mammography images, reports and available pathology in order to compare with current study
• Create batch sessions for readouts
• Schedule all callback patients
• Complete chart preparation for future appointments by ensuring patients have prescription and obtaining outstanding imaging, reports and any pathology
• Perform research to ensure final report is on all exams
• Upload outside imaging

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Intermediate computer skills
• Proficiency with standard office equipment
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to problem-solve and work effectively with minimal supervision
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
• Understanding of the importance of providing exceptional customer service

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Nice to Have

• Some college coursework
• Previous experience in a radiology practice or medical setting
• Thorough understanding of anatomy
