Mammography Cross Training Technologist

About This Role

This role offers an exciting cross-training opportunity for Radiologic Technologists interested in Mammography, providing comprehensive training to prepare for ARRT Mammography boards. The technologist will perform mammography examinations and ensure optimal radiologic care.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography examinations according to technical standards
• Utilize instructional information and methods as established by management
• Provide for the safety, health, and well-being of all patients, visitors, and co-workers
• Become familiar with and respond to emergency codes and life safety practices
• Perform all other related duties as assigned to ensure optimum radiologic care, efficient patient flow, and safe office operation
• Provide informal supervision and instructional advice to non-technical personnel
• Utilize departmental clerical equipment, including computerized information systems, for accurate record keeping and documentation

Requirements

• Completed an accredited Radiology School program
• Registered by or registry-eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Current or upcoming X-Ray Technologist license in the State of NJ
• American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross BLS certification prior to start of employment
• Full knowledge of all aspects of radiation protection
• Willingness to complete the Mammography Cross Training program
• Willingness to successfully complete the ARRT Mammography boards

Qualifications

• Accredited Radiology School program completion
