The Quality Inspector II is responsible for inspecting materials and finished parts from receipt through shipping, including calibration of tools and equipment, and maintaining required documentation, ensuring compliance with AIAP specifications.
Responsibilities
- Work with suppliers on rejected material and return the product if needed
- Perform inspection on products received from vendors, specifically aerospace fasteners
- Use gadgets such as micrometer screw gauges to measure products
- Perform inspections at random to assess product quality
- Accept or reject finished products and discuss inspection results with the production team
- Remove products that don’t meet production standards and recommend strategies to improve product quality
- Hold a high standard of quality for all products received, contribute to team effort
- Ensure company compliance with customer requirements
- Ensure that part numbers are correct and accurate before adding them to the system
Requirements
- College degree or equivalent experience
- 3-7 years experience in the aerospace industry
- Extensive knowledge of calibration/inspection equipment (calipers, micrometer, ring gages, plug gages, and radius gages)
- Ability to read blueprints, diagrams
- Computer skills
- Good working knowledge of aircraft fasteners
Qualifications
- College degree or equivalent experience
- 3-7 years experience in the aerospace industry
