Quality Inspector Level 2

About This Role

This role is for a Quality Inspector Level 2 at Safran Cabin, specializing in inspecting products and equipment for defects, preparing detailed reports, and utilizing various measuring devices. The mission involves contributing to a safer, more environmentally friendly, and comfortable air transport experience.

Responsibilities

• Understand and carry out oral instructions
• Read and interpret work orders, scrap tickets, job lot tickets, graphs, logs, and schedules
• Read and carry out complicated instructions
• Observe and read instruments, gauges, and dials to determine operating conditions
• Read and interpret detailed prints, sketches, layouts, and specifications
• Prepare detailed records including FAI reports, NCR reports, operating logs, and quantities
• Inspect, examine, and observe for obvious and subtle product or equipment defects
• Count and perform simple arithmetic additions and subtractions
• Use measuring devices like tapes, gauges, rules, weight scales, micrometers, and calibrated steel tapes
• Plan and schedule movement or flow of materials or products
• Use non-power hand tools such as hammers and wrenches
• Plan own work activities and potentially train other workers
• Work alone, as a team member, and with minimal to no supervision

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 4-7 years of experience
• Familiarity with Windows Operating System
• Basic skills with Microsoft Office systems
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments
• Ability to effectively use inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 4-7 years of experience in quality inspection

Nice to Have

• Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications and other technical literature
• Problem-solving capabilities
