Quality Inspector I

About This Role

The Quality Inspector I will perform raw material sampling and inspection, both internally and at a third-party warehouse. This role also involves overseeing the inventory of laboratory chemicals and critical reagent supplies across multiple facilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection, sampling, testing, and disposition of components and raw materials as per SOP's and specifications
• Collaborate regularly with R&D, QA and Materials Management
• Partner with outside vendors to coordinate offsite QC operations
• Support Quality Control operations by performing basic laboratory responsibilities including environmental monitoring, lab support, inventory of laboratory chemicals and critical reagent supplies, and sample submissions to contract labs
• Create, revise, issue material specifications
• Facilitate and monitor the material lifecycle process
• Be flexible and responsive to customer needs

Requirements

• HS Diploma or equivalent
• 0-1 years’ industry experience in cGMP, or equivalent
• Direct work experience in raw materials quality inspection system and related systems
• Effective time management, multitasking and organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail and cross functional team experience
• Ability to lift/pull up to 40 pounds
• Personal transportation required

Qualifications

• HS Diploma, or equivalent
• 0-1 years’ industry experience in cGMP, or equivalent

Nice to Have

• Direct technical experience writing CAPA’s
• Computer skills in systems such as Microsoft Word, Excel and TrackWise
• Knowledge of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
