Quality Engineer

About This Role

This role is for an experienced quality and manufacturing professional with a strong background in mechanical systems and machined metal parts. The Quality Engineer will support and improve supplier performance through audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement efforts, working closely with engineering and supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Support and improve supplier performance through audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement efforts
• Work closely with engineering and supply chain on a small, collaborative team
• Manage relationships with roughly 10 to 20 suppliers
• Read and interpret engineering drawings
• Apply practical quality methods such as SPC, 5 Whys, and 8D to resolve manufacturing issues at the source
• Communicate clearly and handle supplier interactions professionally
• Travel domestically and internationally, excluding China, as part of the role

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree as a minimum
• Experienced quality and manufacturing professional with a strong background in mechanical systems and machined metal parts
• Over 8 years working directly in manufacturing environments
• Hands-on experience supporting and improving supplier performance through audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement efforts
• Skilled at reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Application of practical quality methods such as SPC, 5 Whys, and 8D
• Comfortable traveling domestically and internationally (excluding China)

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree as a minimum
• Over 8 years working directly in manufacturing environments.
