Telecom Project Manager

About This Role

Manage all phases of complex telecom projects from initiation to closure, including planning, execution, budget, and risk assessment, ensuring high standards and effective communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project plans including scope definition, resource allocation, timelines, budgets, and risk assessment
• Manage all project phases from initiation to closure, ensuring adherence to established methodologies and best practices
• Possess a strong understanding of telecommunications technologies including fiber optics, wireless networks (4G/5G), IP networking, VoIP, and network infrastructure
• Oversee relationships with third-party vendors and contractors, negotiating contracts and managing vendor performance
• Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, providing guidance and support to ensure project success
• Provide regular project updates to stakeholders including progress reports, risk assessments, and budget forecasts
• Proactively identify and mitigate potential project risks, developing and implementing contingency plans
• Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring projects stay within allocated funding
• Implement quality control measures throughout the project lifecycle to ensure deliverables meet the highest standards
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation including project plans, meeting minutes, and status reports

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in telecom project management
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex telecom projects
• Strong understanding of telecom technologies and industry trends
• Excellent project management skills including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management
• Strong leadership and communication skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in telecom project management

Nice to Have

• PMP or Prince2 certification
• Experience with project management software tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira)
