Quality Engineer - Manual Testing

About This Role

As a Quality Engineer, you will ensure the high quality of software solutions through effective testing, automation, and programming, collaborating with the development team and focusing on test automation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate and advise cross-functional teams to execute the testing strategy
• Design, develop, and maintain test cases, tools, and scripts to validate business rules and functionality
• Execute manual test scripts for requirement validation, integration, regression, and usability testing
• Identify and create reusable test data required for ongoing testing
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with the development team to resolve issues
• Monitor and report test metrics and provide regular status updates to stakeholders
• Participate in software release activities, including test planning, execution, and post-release validation

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a software applications tester
• Proficiency in creating and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts in Agile and Waterfall SDLC environments
• Experience with system, integration, and regression testing
• Understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Qualifications

• BS (Computer Science) or Equivalent
• 3+ years of experience as a software applications tester. Demonstrable relevant work experience in Agile projects.
