The QC Technician II ensures quality and safety standards for products by performing routine testing, maintaining laboratory equipment, and collaborating with production and warehouse teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
Responsibilities
- Inspect goods or products according to quality and safety standards
- Provide routine raw material testing for incoming resins and perform tests according to standard operating procedures
- Ensure quality control measures are in place to aid manufacturing operations and facilitate final product approval
- Offer technical and quality control services for the manufacturing industry
- Work with the Production team to resolve quality problems and oversee the stock of finished products
- Produce and provide COA to customers as required
- Ensure that quality control testing equipment is calibrated and functioning properly, and maintain laboratory equipment and testing devices
- Maintain and develop laboratory service capability, providing central laboratory services to various departments
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to facilitate the receipt of raw materials
- Coordinate with Production Personnel in Quality Audit for finished product acceptance, on hold, and reject decisions
- Identify possible areas for improvement in quality control processes
- Assist in testing customer return orders and report detailed findings in shared spreadsheets
- Assist in root cause analysis and corrective action determination for quality returns and internal quality issues
- Assist in operator quality test training and annual retraining
Requirements
- Experience as an inspection or quality technician
- Capacity to analyze and comprehend technical data
- Excellent interpersonal abilities and ability to establish positive working connections
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English communication
- Capability to work independently with limited oversight
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic math, reading, and computer skills
- High awareness toward safety
- Ability to solve problems and apply critical thinking
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Able to work effectively and efficiently as part of a team
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience as an inspection or quality technician
Nice to Have
- Associate/college-level courses or trade school
- Extrusion experience
