The Bags Attendant-Converting at Sealed Air Corporation is a Support Operator responsible for daily tasks and activities that support general Manufacturing Operations, primarily in the converting department. This role involves operating equipment, maintaining supplies, assisting machine operators, and performing general housekeeping.
Responsibilities
- Operate equipment and systems used to support manufacturing operations such as carton assembly machines and RICO roll movers
- Perform simple preventative maintenance activities on equipment as needed (lubrication, cleaning, etc.)
- Regularly replenish departmental supplies to established inventory levels based on usage
- Assist machine operator in maintaining an orderly work area by staging rolls, removing empty cores, and collecting used jaws
- Perform general housekeeping activities including sweeping, dusting, and emptying trash
- Follow all applicable EHS, Quality, and Food Safety procedures and protocols, reporting any incidents to supervisor
- Complete all applicable EHS, Quality, and Food Safety training
- Support implementation of the Quality and Food Safety program and comply with expectations if included in Food Safety or Internal Audit team
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2-3 years within a Manufacturing environment
- Experience with high volume, high speed operations
- Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, etc)
- Demonstrated safety commitment
- Positive work history with an ability to manage multiple tasks
- Able to work both independently and within a team, generating results with general/minimal guidance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable with use of measurements and hand tools
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2-3 years within a Manufacturing environment.
