This Material Handler role is responsible for managing inventory, supporting raw material delivery to production lines, and handling loading and unloading of shipments for a packaging solutions company.
Responsibilities
- Follow all Key Operating Procedures including company and facility policies, safety, quality, SOPs, SSOP/Good Housekeeping standards, GMP, food/safety security, HACCP, food regulatory and customer specifications
- Be proficient in inventory management and accuracy
- Move finished goods to proper rack and inventory locations when staging lane is full
- Supply all raw materials to the prep and staging area for utility workers
- Assist operators and QA to assure quality standards are upheld and suspect products are placed on hold
- Work as a valuable team member throughout the production room to accomplish business goals
- Help inspector/packers and bag machine operators as needed
- Assist and work closely with Quality, Maintenance, and technical resources to ensure issues are addressed
- Provide feedback and suggestions for improvements
- Complete all documentation accurately
- Assist in the training of other personnel in the material handling department
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work safely and effectively with minimal supervision
