Purchasing Agent

About This Role

The Purchasing Agent is responsible for bidding on new construction projects, maintaining scopes of work, and tracking blueprints and design changes for D.R. Horton, the largest homebuilder in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Solicit bids
• Pre-qualify subcontractors
• Setup and monitor option costs and sales prices
• Maintain and update current budgets
• Spread revised bids and obtain approval for any price increases
• Prepare direct costs analysis and variances for review
• Input original Direct Costs budget
• Execute lot starts and final proof all unit costs

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 1-2 years related experience and/or training
