About This Role

This role is responsible for managing all procurement activities for the Phoenix Job Corps Center, ensuring compliance with company and government policies while making a real impact on young individuals' education and career development.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Center purchasing/procurement function through planning, budget control, and staff training
  • Procure goods and services for the Center in accordance with Company purchasing policies and procedures
  • Select services and vendors through competitive pricing, service, and quality guidelines
  • Prepare purchase order contracts, subcontracts, lease/rental agreements, and consultant contracts
  • Develop and maintain a qualified vendor list, including small, large, Veteran, Minority, and/or Female suppliers
  • Utilize federal supply schedules as needed
  • Monitor vendor adherence to quality standards, delivery schedules, and contract terms
  • Administer the Center subcontract program and construction, rehabilitation, and maintenance subcontracts
  • Participate in weekly Triangle Meeting to resolve vendor issues
  • Maintain required logs, computer database, and prepare government reports
  • Lead the bidding process (RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, Sole Source, Sealed Bid)
  • Provide superior customer service and timely feedback on purchase requests
  • Develop Center-beneficial linkages within the community to enhance and promote local procurement activity
  • Mentors, monitors and models the Career Success Standards as required by the PRH
