About This Role

Pursue a physical therapy residency in a specialty area, acquiring advanced clinical knowledge and skills through mentored experiences, continuing education, and direct patient care at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Examine and evaluate patient’s physical therapy needs
• Formulate a physical therapy diagnosis and develop a treatment plan
• Demonstrate competency in clinical knowledge and skills for assigned patient case types
• Complete all required educational activities (readings, self-learning modules, courses, workshops)
• Act as a clinical resource in the area of subspecialty expertise
• Consult with health care team members to ensure coordination and effectiveness of therapies
• Participate in orientation of new staff, committees, QI activities, and supervision of students/aides
• Participate in implementing a quality assurance program for clinical service

Requirements

• Doctor of Physical Therapy degree
• Valid Physical Therapist State License
• 1-2 years previous Physical Therapist experience
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Analytical abilities and sound knowledge in Physical Therapy
