The Property Officer 2 is responsible for performing property control work, maintaining inventory of in-use and surplus property for the department, and ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Compile information to prepare a variety of records and reports related to state inventory objectives and process changes in the electronic database.
- Coordinate with upper management, peers, and business partners to facilitate workload dissemination and ensure timely and accurate task completion.
- Obtain information to ensure effective control of property and adherence to policies, procedures, and guidelines, including tagging new purchases or relocating property.
- Perform general physical activities such as climbing, lifting, and balancing for inventory-related tasks.
- Interpret various rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and documentation for internal and external business partners to ensure understanding and compliance.
- Analyze property records for accuracy and identify equipment condition or data, determining age for replacement schedule recommendations.
- Schedule and conduct inventories to ensure compliance with departmental, state, and federal guidelines, and organize meetings to inform parties on current processes.
- Operate forklifts and vehicles to relocate property and complete daily tasks.
Requirements
- Graduation from standard high school
- 5+ years of increasingly responsible full-time clerical work
- 1+ year of property control experience

- Graduation from a standard high school
- Five or more years of increasingly responsible full-time clerical work including, at least, one year of property control experience.
