The Property Manager is responsible for the overall operations of a residential property, including financial performance, resident satisfaction, and team leadership. This role ensures efficient property operations, oversees various contracts, and maintains positive experiences for residents, associates, and clients.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day property operations including resident satisfaction, retention, lease administration, rent collection, and delinquency management
- Oversee property P&L and property marketing in accordance with company standards
- Meet client expectations and provide excellent customer service
- Responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and hiring associates, as well as providing coaching and development
- Execute the strategic marketing plan to attract and retain residents
- Respond to resident complaints and serve as liaison to residents and the corporate office
- Manage property and associate safety records, property loss claims, and risk management initiatives
- Organize and implement site natural disaster and emergency evacuation plans
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge through workshops and publications
Requirements
- High school diploma
- 2-3 years of experience in property management
- 1-2 years of direct management experience
- Knowledge of resident rental lifecycle activities
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Intermediate knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and handle confidential matters
- Excellent customer service skills
Qualifications
- High school diploma is required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- 2-3 years of experience in property management and 1-2 years of direct management experience are required.
