Oversee operations for two senior housing communities in Oakland, California, focusing on affordable housing for low-income seniors and ensuring compliance with HUD and LIHTC regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations for two senior housing communities, ensuring all facilities are well-maintained and meet the needs of residents
• Manage compliance with HUD regulations and Low Income Tax Credit Housing (LIHTC) requirements
• Utilize property management software to track leasing, maintenance requests, and tenant communications
• Handle resident relations by addressing concerns, resolving issues, and fostering a welcoming community
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for property repairs and improvements
• Monitor budgets and financial performance to ensure cost-effective operations
• Develop and implement strategies to maximize occupancy and minimize turnover
• Prepare necessary reports and documentation for regulatory agencies and internal use
• Ensure adherence to fair housing laws and other relevant regulations
• Collaborate with senior leadership and stakeholders to align property goals with organizational objectives

Requirements

• Familiarity with HUD regulations
• Familiarity with Low Income Tax Credit Housing (LIHTC) requirements
• Proficient in using property management software and CRM systems
• Strong knowledge of fair housing laws and compliance standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage budgets and financial operations for residential properties
• Detail-oriented and organized, with strong problem-solving capabilities
• Previous experience working with contractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies

Qualifications

• Proven experience in property management, preferably in senior housing or affordable housing
