The Property Manager is responsible for the overall operations of a property, ensuring efficient functioning, overseeing contracts, and managing lease administration and monthly reporting. This role focuses on creating a positive experience for residents, associates, and clients.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day property operations including resident satisfaction, retention, and the full resident lifecycle
- Ensure client expectations are met and provide excellent customer service
- Recruit, interview, provide corrective feedback, and hire staff
- Lead and communicate a shared vision, providing coaching and development to associates
- Execute strategic marketing plans to attract and retain residents
- Understand and follow operation guidelines within the property management agreement
- Respond to resident complaints and serve as a liaison to residents and the corporate office
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge through workshops and publications
- Organize and implement site natural disaster and emergency evacuation plans
- Manage property and associate safety records, loss claims, and risk management initiatives
Requirements
- High school diploma
- 2-3 years of experience in property management
- 1-2 years of direct management experience
- Knowledge of resident rental lifecycle activities
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite proficiency (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance
- Capability to read, write, comprehend, and converse in English
Qualifications
- High school diploma is required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- 2-3 years of experience in property management and 1-2 years of direct management experience are required.

- Prior experience in Yardi Voyager or equivalent system
