About This Role

Serve as a portfolio manager to refine program management practices and lead specific programs for a large non-profit organization. This role involves creating and managing integrated plans for new operational strategies and identifying process optimizations.

Responsibilities

  • Complete core project management deliverables including status reports, project planning, and issue/risk management
  • Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with business and technology teams
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, managing interdependencies and critical path milestones
  • Identify and mitigate risks and proactively resolve issues, escalating when necessary
  • Gain understanding of internal processes through current state mapping and identify future process optimizations
  • Identify and drive change management efforts to support program implementation
  • Build relationships and collaborate effectively cross-functionally, influencing and building consensus across groups
  • Maintain strong attention to detail and a personal work ethic, working well under pressure and making deadlines
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership and accountability for initiative success
  • Solicit feedback and gain buy-in from senior leaders and key stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS)
  • Certification in project management (e.g., CAPM, PMP, or Agile certifications)
  • Minimum of 10 years of Program and Project Management experience
  • Specific focus on Business and Operations, Change Management, Process Mapping, Training, team coordination
  • Ability to develop an integrated project plan across multiple workstreams and drive project delivery
  • Ability to synthesize large volumes of data and results/reports into actionable recommendations
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively cross-functionally and with executive-level audience
  • Ability to influence and build consensus across disparate groups
  • Ability to work well under pressure, handle multiple priorities, and make deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and personal work ethic
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS)
  • A minimum of 10 years of Program and Project Management experience

Certifications

PMP (Required) CAPM (Required) Agile certifications (Required)
