This role involves project management for day-to-day activities related to the Physician Incentive Program and Medical Staff Executive Committee across academic medical centers within Mass General Brigham. The Program Manager will collaborate with various leaders and departments to ensure program success and policy adherence.
Responsibilities
- Project manage day-to-day activities for the Medical Policy Committee and Medical Staff Executive Committee at MGH, BWH, MEE, and FH
- Manage the flow of clinical policies, protocols, guidance documents, and forms through committees
- Oversee the open comments process for new policies, including distribution and organization of feedback
- Maintain current policies in the designated policy system (e.g., Ellucid)
- Track document expiration and approval dates and communicate with owners for updates
- Shepherd drafts and owners through the committee approval process
- Report and troubleshoot policy platform system issues
- Coordinate the implementation and process improvement of the AMC Physician Incentive Program
- Serve as a central resource for all Incentive Program issues and communicate with Vice Chairs of Quality and Administrative Directors
- Lead the iterative process of new measure development for departments, including evaluating data sources and writing measure specifications
- Coordinate the appeals process for the Incentive Program, presenting appeals to the steering committee and communicating decisions
- Provide project management for annual meetings and other medical affairs initiatives
- Develop workflows, processes, and procedures to improve operational efficiency
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in an academic medical center or similar environment
- Demonstrated competency in an academic medical center or similar environment
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Demonstrated experience in project management
- Demonstrated expertise in managing working relationships in a matrix structure
- Solid knowledge of project management strategies and techniques
- Excellent interpersonal/communications skills
- Ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Attention to detail
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Experience with Microsoft applications (Access, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and other web-based applications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field required. Master’s degree in public health, healthcare management or related field or related work experience preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience with demonstrated competency in an academic medical center or similar environment. Demonstrated experience in project management.
