Manage and oversee a portfolio of global health programs (STRIDES and EpiC) in 4-6 countries, ensuring successful project implementation, compliance, and budget adherence. This role serves as the main HQ point of contact for assigned country programs.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the development of projects from initiation to completion
- Co-develop workplans and budgets with technical and finance staff
- Monitor country workplans, budgets, and scope to ensure successful execution of deliverables
- Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations for USG and PEPFAR supported programs
- Supervise program staff in-country, including EpiC and/or STRIDES Country-level Project Directors
- Lead project start-up activities and close-out in conjunction with in-country teams
- Manage and approve all budgeted project expenditures and monitor cash flow
- Prepare and review presentations, reports, and support other program objectives and deliverables
- Identify and resolve project issues, implementing improvement plans to keep projects on schedule and within budget
- Build, develop, and grow partnerships vital to the success of the project
Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant experience with projects management principles and practices
- 2+ years of line management experience
- Experience supervising senior level staff
- Prior work experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO), government agency, or private organization
- Comprehensive knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures with project management, process development and execution
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or its International Equivalent in Health, Nutrition, International Development, Social Science or a Related Field
- 8+ years of relevant experience with project management principles and practices, with 2+ years of line management experience and experience supervising senior level staff.
Nice to Have
- Master's degree preferred
- Previous experience working on global health projects including USG and PEPFAR supported programs
- Professional proficiency in French or Arabic
- International or domestic (US) program development or project management
