About This Role

Effectively manage and support production operations within a cannabis manufacturing facility by ensuring product quality standards and inventory integrity are maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cultivation employees by example and interpersonal skills to achieve proficient performance
  • Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities to team members
  • Establish, implement, and continuously improve departmental policies, goals, and objectives
  • Communicate job expectations, plan, monitor, and appraise job results to accomplish manufacturing targets
  • Develop and coach employees, including planning, assigning, directing work, appraising performance, disciplining, and resolving complaints and problems
  • Create and oversee employee training schedules focused on productivity and resource conservation
  • Monitor production output and ensure compliance with specifications using analytical skills
  • Ensure employees follow all safety and operating procedures
  • Employ critical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify and improve efficiency/productivity issues
  • Maintain compliance with State laws/regulations affecting GTI operations and safety, and ensure employee compliance
  • Establish and maintain proper inventory within the department
  • Monitor and achieve departmental budgeting goals
  • Establish and maintain production efficiencies as determined by the facility leadership team
  • Lead the team in producing quality products that meet internal specifications
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) when criteria established by the leadership team are not met

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience in a production environment
  • 2+ years in supervisory capacity
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience in directing and evaluating subordinates
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, innovative
  • Ability to work independently or among teams with keen judgement, common sense and resourcefulness
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a demanding, fast-paced environment
  • High level of professionalism and integrity, including handling confidential information
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Must pass all required background checks
  • Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the cannabis industry
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
  • Must be approved by the state badging agency to receive an Agent badge

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; BSc/BA preferred
  • 5+ years' experience in a production environment, 2+ years in supervisory capacity

  • Knowledge in Continuous improvement (e.g., Kaizen, Gemba Walks)
