Production Manager

About This Role

Manage production operations in a manufacturing environment, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Provide leadership and supervision to production staff and assist in achieving plant objectives.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operational activities to meet customer requirements while maintaining safety and quality standards
• Analyze key metrics to ensure high quality and safety, proactively seeking efficiency improvements and cost containment
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for all operational activities
• Ensure understanding and adherence to all regulations and company policies by supervisors and production employees
• Manage assigned employees, including recruitment, scheduling, development, evaluation, and performance management
• Maintain safe working conditions and compliance with health and safety regulations
• Follow all good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work consistent with food safety and quality requirements

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5 to 8 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
• Supervisory or management experience
• Solid knowledge of manufacturing process flow
• Solid knowledge of continuous improvement models
• Skill in leadership and coaching
• Knowledge of principles and practices of supervision, training, and personnel management
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and company computer systems
• Ability to read, write and speak English

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, undergraduate degree in related curriculum preferred
• 5 to 8 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food and/or beverage manufacturing, with supervisory or management experience
