Production Control Specialist 1/2

About This Role

This role will support the production and manufacturing lifecycle of War Reserve detonators for the Nation's nuclear stockpile security mission, coordinating work planning, scheduling, and workflow to meet mission requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide production and manufacturing support across the Production Agency's manufacturing lifecycle
• Assist in the development, maintenance, and monitoring of production schedules
• Support manufacturing workflow and coordinate work planning to meet mission requirements
• Lead production coordination activities and facilitate large schedule management meetings (P.C.S. 2)
• Proactively drive problem-solving efforts and coordinate with organizational stakeholders to maximize production efficiency and availability (P.C.S. 2)
• Facilitate communication, identify risks, and ensure alignment of production priorities across teams (P.C.S. 2)

Requirements

• Knowledge of work processes in a manufacturing work environment, utilizing a resource planning system
• Experience working independently and effectively in a team environment with high emphasis on customer service
• Experience adhering to and enforcing manufacturing planning processes and procedures
• Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and follow through to complete multiple tasks under strict deadlines
• Experience with project-oriented work environments, tracking progress, and monitoring performance

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of related experience for Production Control Specialist 1; 5 years for Production Control Specialist 2

Nice to Have

• Experience in project and program management, including planning, organizing, and resource management
• Experience with WR (War Reserve) and R&D production manufacturing processes
• Knowledge and/or prior experience working in an MRP/ERP like system
• Basic skills in Microsoft Office products such as Excel and Word
