The Production Associate will be responsible for performing a variety of production activities, including both automated and manual processes, to produce an array of natural health and wellness products. This role requires meeting deadlines while maintaining high quality, efficiency, and productivity.
Responsibilities
- Perform a wide variety of manufacturing tasks and processes to improve and optimize production operations and ensure consistently high quality and productive operations.
- Demonstrate competency in all aspects of various manufacturing and business processes.
- Consistently perform job specific tasks in a safe manner, identify unsafe practices, and make recommendations to correct them.
- Ensure compliance to Good Manufacturing Practice guidelines including Gowning Procedures and Good Lab and documentation practices.
- Organize assigned work and make the best use of time to complete each task.
- Participate in audits to assure safety, compliance, and efficient line operations.
- Support the maintenance of the site 5S program by ensuring all materials are in the appropriate locations and cabinets are neatly organized and maintained.
- Perform required documentation, calculations, order closeouts, and any other written types of communication.
- Participate in tooling changeovers and process set up to ensure efficiency.
- Assure timely completion of all line administrative data collection functions.
- Retrieve raw materials from warehouse locations as required and deliver finished goods to the warehouse.
- Return unused materials for reconciliation to the materials warehouse.
- Perform assigned tasks related to End of Day and Cleaning Schedules and Preventive Maintenance related cleaning.
- Perform testing and inspection activities to support the Manufacturing Record for products produced on the assigned production line.
- Work on an assembly line processing various filling and packaging work orders, including filling powders, liquids, creams, gels, and salt flakes into various types and sizes of containers.
- Perform labeling, kitting, cartoning, and loading pallets of product to be distributed.
- Clean all equipment utilized during daily process activity, including process rooms, windows, walls, floors, and utility equipment to maintain a cGMP environment.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED (or equivalent experience of 4 years as Production Associate)
- Ability to perform simple math calculations
- Ability to write and print legibly
- Ability to lift 50 pounds from pallet to ground
Qualifications
- High School diploma, GED, or fresh life science graduate
- At least 4 years of experience as a Production Associate or similar.
Nice to Have
- Experience in biotech/food industry
- Experience in GMP Manufacturing or FDA regulated industry
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing environment
