About This Role

The Mfg Equipment Maintenance Technician provides essential care, maintenance, and repairs for plant utility equipment and systems in a cGMP manufacturing environment. This role involves performing preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting packaging lines, and ensuring the high quality and reliability of equipment used in dietary supplement and cosmetics production.

Responsibilities

  • Perform failure diagnosis, analytical troubleshooting, repair, and restoration of facilities' equipment
  • Conduct ongoing preventative maintenance for all equipment as defined in SOPs
  • Coordinate and monitor preventative maintenance completed by external contractors
  • Provide operational support and troubleshooting for packaging and filling lines
  • Install, debug, and evaluate new manufacturing equipment
  • Establish and maintain record-keeping systems and repair histories for equipment
  • Train machine operators on proper equipment utilization and safety
  • Coordinate with vendors for onsite service, repairs, and warranty claims
  • Supervise and inspect vendor work to assure quality standards are met
  • Perform other building maintenance functions including basic electrical and plumbing repairs
  • Enforce all safety procedures and policies as prescribed by management

Requirements

  • High school education
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a related field
  • Some vocational mechanical training and/or electrical training
  • Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and analytical abilities
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50+ pounds from pallet to floor
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, bend and be comfortable in tight confined spaces
  • Ability to work with hand tools with dexterity
  • Ability to wear half and full face respirators for extended durations of time
  • Ability to wear safety harness for altitude repairs

Qualifications

  • High school education
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a related field, with some vocational mechanical and/or electrical training

Nice to Have

  • 2-3 years working in a cGMP facility in a facilities capacity
  • Previous recording and or documentation practices in an FDA regulated environment
  • Ability to read and follow equipment schematics for diagnosis and repair
  • Ability to work with integral electronics systems of manufacturing equipment
