Production Associate

About This Role

This role is responsible for general entry-level production assembly, material movement, sorting components, and packaging for final shipment within a small but growing manufacturing facility for the rail industry.

Responsibilities

• Perform general entry level production assembly work
• Move material by forklift, hand, cart and crane as required
• Sort components
• Package for final shipment
• Perform assembly tasks within a production line
• Complete transactions, paperwork and signoffs related to work performed
• Adhere to manufacturing instructions and standard operating procedures
• Perform inspection and test of individual components and final assemblies
• Participate in continuous improvement activities
• Operate tools and equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Maintain clean work environment and perform end of shift housekeeping

Requirements

• 1-year general technician or operator experience
• Knowledge of manufacturing and/or assembly operations
• Experience with adherence to safe work practices and ability to follow standard operating procedures
• Demonstrated hands-on / mechanical skills
• Ability to utilize hand tools, handle/move material, and adhere to manufacturing instructions

Qualifications

• Highschool degree, technical degree preferred.
• 1-year general technician or operator experience
