Product Engineer

About This Role

Provide engineering support for products through all phases of development, manufacturing, and application. Interact with customers to design custom parts and provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design custom parts including providing and maintaining manufacturing documentation, considering performance, costs, processes and materials
• Follow existing documentation practices and continuously look for improvements
• Provide technical support to internal customers (manufacturing process, quality) and external customers (product application)
• Create designs supporting quality, environmental health and safety management systems (ISO-9001, AS 9100, and ISO 14001)
• Demonstrate understanding, support and consistent application of the company's Vision, Mission and Core Values

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, chemical or aerospace emphasis)
• 5+ years mechanical design experience
• Proficient knowledge with Computer-Aided Design (CAD)
• Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office Word and Excel
• Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal
• Ability to operate calipers, micrometer and various other measuring tools
• Knowledge of materials and material requirements
• Strong mathematical skills
• High mechanical aptitude

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with an emphasis in mechanical, chemical or aerospace
• Minimum of 5 years mechanical design experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment

Nice to Have

• Background in a polymer-processing environment
