Produce Perishables Representative

About This Role

As a Perishable Representative, you will be responsible for maintaining a well-stocked and well-maintained department, providing superior customer service, and preparing, packaging, and merchandising fresh products daily while adhering to food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service by taking orders and assisting with product selections
• Prepare, package, and merchandise fresh products
• Slice, package, label, and rotate products
• Scan items for production using Telxon
• Clean and sanitize display cases; properly operate and maintain equipment
• Comply with H-E-B food safety and sanitation standards
• Comply with departmental SOPs and store operating procedures

Requirements

• Minimum age 18
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of Company Orientation and Safety Training
• Computer systems knowledge (Telxon, ACR, label machine)
• Strong customer service skills
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Reading and writing skills
• Planning and organizing skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
• Ability to work with Customers, staying attentive to their needs

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
