As a Produce Associate, you will prioritize and execute daily tasks related to produce operations, including stocking, merchandising, and maintaining quality standards. This role involves direct customer interaction and ensuring a clean and safe department environment.
Responsibilities
- Prioritize daily work based on varying business needs
- Acquire and share knowledge of produce
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Cull department for quality control, scan and record shrink
- Take and fill special orders for customers
- Put away orders
- Plan attractive produce displays, using color and texture
- Order product
- Pull shrink daily
- Stock, rotate, and merchandise product
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products within the department
Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and with a sense of urgency
- Ability to continuously work on repetitive tasks while standing
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in temperatures ranging from 0 to 50 degrees
- Willingness to work non-traditional five-day schedule, including Saturday, Sunday, and evenings
