Procurement Intern

About This Role

This Procurement Intern will support United States/Canada Procurement Operations and the Global Procurement Optimization team, working on strategic sourcing projects for raw materials and packaging. Key responsibilities include contacting suppliers, obtaining documentation, analyzing spend, and assisting with day-to-day procurement activities.

Responsibilities

• Support Regional and Global Strategic Sourcing projects for raw materials and packaging
• Contact suppliers to obtain legal and compliance documentation
• Facilitate lab and trial production run sample requests
• Analyze spend and conduct cost analysis for various projects
• Participate in team meetings and new raw material evaluation meetings
• Support Regional (US/C) Market Bids and Cost Savings Projects
• Support Regional (US/C) MRO and Indirect project plans, including reporting and training
• Facilitate communication to buyers on new raw material evaluations
• Assist Buyers in Day-to-Day activities, including resolving delivery and quality issues
• Assist in data entry of forecasted costs for raw materials and packaging, and commodity/market price tracking

Requirements

• Minimum GPA 3.0
• Strong Excel, statistical, and spreadsheet analysis skills
• Strong understanding of Economics and Financial Analysis
• Strong communication (written & verbal) skills

Qualifications

• MBA or undergraduate student pursuing Business or Supply Chain Management
