Machine Operator - Box Sealer - 2nd shift

About This Role

The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, changing, adjusting, and operating machinery for box sealing, ensuring equipment readiness and adhering to food safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Observe all safety rules and regulations including use of personal protective equipment.
• Follow all established Good Manufacturing Practices, including maintaining an orderly and clean work area.
• Set up, change over, adjust, repair and operate all machinery and equipment.
• Ensure all equipment is in operating condition and ready for on time startup.
• Make necessary adjustments to keep products flowing consistently.
• Perform process control and quality checks.
• Operate date coders and verify code dates on cases.
• Clean all equipment using current sanitation practices.
• Assist Quality Assurance in obtaining samples of products and other miscellaneous duties.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of all processing equipment.
• Complete accurate, timely and legible daily production reports/documents.
• Train new associates.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to take direction and follow instructions
• Maintain a positive and respectful attitude
• One year experience in a manufacturing/ industrial environment
• Medium to high degree of judgment required
• Maintain good attendance and punctuality
