Join Cleveland Clinic Avon Hospital as a PRN RN in Surgery, providing world-class patient care in an operative setting and contributing to a Magnet-recognized nursing practice. This role involves both scrub and circulating functions for surgical and invasive procedures.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in an operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures
- Perform scrub functions, including the selection and handling of instruments and supplies used during procedure
- Perform circulating functions, including monitoring, recording, communicating patient condition, and managing overall nursing care before, during, and after a procedure
- Prepare the OR, surgical instruments, and equipment for use
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program)
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
- One year of recent related clinical experience (internal applicants)
- Two years of recent related clinical experience (external applicants)
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program)
- Internal applicants: one year of recent related clinical experience; External applicants: two years of recent related clinical experience
Nice to Have
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (within six months of hire)
- Two years of experience with circulating and scrubbing
