As a PRN Clinical Technician in the Emergency Department at Brunswick Family Health Center, you will assist with basic patient care, maintain room cleanliness, and provide empathetic and compassionate support to patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide or assist with patient care under the supervision of an RN, such as checking vital signs and weight
- Assist patients with personal care
- Perform point of care testing
- Assist with dressing changes
- Apply external monitoring devices
- Remove urinary Foley catheters
- Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to an RN
- Assist with keeping patients’ rooms clean and orderly
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year of recent, full-time patient care experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross before within new hire period (nursing students prior to hire)
- Proficiency in applied mathematics & reading comprehension at an 8th grade level
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year of recent, full-time patient care experience; additional education/training may substitute for some/all stated experience (i.e. mental health experience); Nursing students who have recently completed a minimum of one clinical rotation as part of an accredited nursing school program may substitute for the required experience; Military experience as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1) will be considered
